The big question is this: would she be watching the Super Bowl anyway?
If she's not into football, then you're only doing this for you - not her. Find whatever it is that she absolutely loves (and if it's football, then great!) and use *that* to propose to her.
I once had a friend propose on the jumbotron at Bank One Ballpark, but in that case it was completely natural as his girlfriend was a rabid Arizona Diamondbacks fan, and loved to catch the games.
So make sure that it's romantic for **her**, not just romantic in your opinion, and you'll be golden.

I could find many different scenarios romantics and sweet. Whether it is a romantic weekend away or a broadcasted proposal. I think she will probably be flattered and would definitely say yes. But personally I wouldn't pay you a cent. But, good luck with that!

I would be both extremely flattered and very mad that you spent all that $$ on a public proposal. It is romantic (IF she likes football) but you really should use the money to buy her the house of her dreams.

I would not like that at all. I think a proposal should be quiet and romantic. A public declaration of your love is not necessary. Use that money for a romantic honeymoon, she would probably appreciate that more. It I were your girl, I would be pissed that you wasted so much money on that.

i personally think that is a little much. I think a romantic dinner and a walk in the park get down on bended knee and express your love for her is a better proposal

If you can raise that much money doing that, think of how much your wedding is going to cost. I would get started if I were you!!!!
But, all in all a wonderful proposal idea, I know I would love it!!!

You know that you're going to need like a million dollars for that, right? Memorable, but not romantic. It's over the top. Do something from the heart.

Your heart is in the right place.
Forget the Super Bowl ad. It's a dog and pony show.
30 seconds and it's gone forever.
Raise the money.
Take her to Aruba or the Caymens.
Think "diamonds" and "platinum".
Diamonds last forever.

I think it is fine! Lots of girls will say that they don't want a public proposal, but when it comes right down to it, once you pop the question all she is going to see is you...but then everyone will cheer and it will be great!

I love romance but the practical side of me would want you to propose in a quieter way and save the money for the honeymoon.
