Some researchers say that diet sodas are one of the leading causes of obesity in America. Seriously. When people tell me they drink diet soda i tell them if they are going to drink soda, it may as well be regular, not diet. If you wantto loose weight or maintain a healthy weight try grreen tea. It has more caffine than coffee. (or soda)

Yes! You just have to drink it in moderation. Like maybe 1 a day or 1every 2 days deepens on how active you are. If you want it for caffeine then try tea with a piece of lemon or Orange No sugar.

Everybody else had good answers, but there was something that they didn't bring up. A typical soda has 200-300 calories in it and lots of sugar. If your body is used to this, then it processes it like anything else. But they are called "empty" calories, because they don't really provide nutrition. If you are drinking soda instead of healthy drinks or food, then you are depriving your body of what it needs. I have heard that it actually dehyrdates you and the caffeine over time will pull the calcium out of your bones. It is a hard habit to break. Yes, you can still mantain a healthy weight, but balance it with good nutrition and exercise.

Absolutley. There are a lot of calories in soda so you may have to cut other things out of your diet. However, soda is so high in sugar that it is probably best not to drink it anyway.

Try fruit juice, milk, or better yet, water!

no, the sugar in soda is what makes you fat. All Food turns to sugar but this is just a vast amount of sugar you can do without. Stop soda all together and lose weoght. Remember one thing if it's white it's not right.

Absolutely!! I'll even one up you. I have a milkshake several times a week and i've maintained my weight for a while now. The key is moderation. Don't eat too much other unhealthy stuff, and you can splurge on something.
