It's not from quitting smoking. If it is it will be VERY temporary. If it's ongoing (over a couple of weeks) then it's just your vision and it happened to coincide with your decision to stop smoking. I promise you that starting to smoke will not improve your sight. See your eye doctor, if it doesn't self correct.

Macular degeneration (AMD) is a chronic age-related retinal disease that causes a slow loss of vision in people over the age of 50. The 2 stages of macular degeneration are commonly known as wet and dry disease. The dry disease occurs when the macula deteriorates, causing a number of symptoms like blurred vision. The wet disease is an aggressive disease that occurs when blood vessels abnormally develop, and it's usually a complication of the dry disease. There are a number of treatments like vitamins, medications, laser therapy, and vision aids for macular degeneration, but there is no cure

Have your blood pressure checked. Smoking affects your BP and you could be experiencing adjustment, from high to low or low to high. Also, the first sign of multiple sclerosis is blurred vision.

Time for a new prescription.Smoking causes the blood vessels in the eye to expand. As you no longer smoke, your vision has changed because you got your last prescription when you smoked.Leave the coffin nails alone and go see your eye doctor.

Education is a wonderful thing, but the downside of filling your head with "knowledge" is that it makes less room for being open to alternatives.

Mostly every eye doctor and optometrist truly believe that THEY KNOW BEST... and quite frankly, they have to... The grim alternative is to face a life crises (like I did), and the complete breakdown of their current life and practice.

The optometry industry is one thing... but it's no use blaming your doctor or optometrist for being ignorant. Rather be happy you've been lucky enough to stumble upon this quick and reliable way to regain your natural vision abilities.
