We live in cold Colorado, it is already 40 degrees during the day and cold enough to use the heat at night.

Yup. If he can get it, I'd give it to him. Kids catch the flu so easily and it can really effect them!

I would say yes I gave both of mine a shots last year and they are now 3 and 1/2 and 1 and 1/2 so I would say yes better safe then sorry. This year my little girl started preschool there are 12 kids in her class and they have been going for 3 weeks now and 10 have already been sick thank god my daughter has been one of the 2 that hasnt. Good luck!

particular, if he's over 6 months he could be waiting to get it. Do you're taking him for checkups each 3 months on the pediatrician? they might in all probability propose it. i might get it if he's in daycare and around human beings lots. Or while you're companies to getting the flu. My son have been given one around 9 months previous, alongside with the H1N1, he did have a reasonable fever later that night and become style of cranky and fussy. yet no longer something severe. i think of they do 2 photos at that age, the 1st one and then they want you again back in some weeks for a follow up booster shot.

I am kind of biased about this. I do not give my 3 year old son the flu shot because it only vaccinated against one strain of flu. Your son will most likely get sick whether or not he gets the shot.

Also they do not know the long term side effects from vaccinating young children. I won't get into all of that, but that is just my opinion. It is good to research both sides because doctor's do not provide us with all the information.

Vaccinations are bad for you!

A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your bloodstream.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

i got my kids a flu shot one time and they were sick the whole winter so i never will let them have one again however you can always use tylenol or motrin or cough meds soon as you see a sign of a cold or flu also try the decongestions or benadryl with first sight of runny noses also have your child wash there hands offten and spray the most used places with disinfected spray
this is what i do and it works better than the flu shots to me and like i said that one year was the worst they were sick more with the shot than they are with out it

I think it's a great idea. My son gets a flu shot every year and he hasn't gotten the flu. Well, if he did, it was just a really bad cold. Everyone in my family had it one year, and he was the one it skipped.

I personally don't suggest you get him one. First of all children catch colds from each other anyway and a flu shot is more for an adult. You are asking for trouble if you give a child this young a flu shot unless he or she is chronic asthmatic or have other medical problems. I suggest you teach the child to always remember to wash their hands or better still buy a pack of miniature wipes and show them how to clean their hands before eating.

All children 5 and under are recommended to get the flu shot, especially if they are being exposed to a number of people.

Your pediatrition should be able to tell you if you should or should not. i don't think you can I believe you have to be 12 or older to get a flu shot. I am not 100 percent sure but I think that is accurate.

yes! even little kids can catch a bad flu. plus thats what doctors recommend. since kids and the elderly's immune system isnt as strong as others then they usually get them first and then the rest of the population do.
