It's been 3 weeks since the break-up.
I thought I was feeling better and getting on, meeting friends and busying myself with work.
Today when I went to town, I THINK i saw the ex with a gal passenger on his bike. It was quite some distance away but I thought the helmets and bike looked familiar.
And at that instant, all my so-called recovered strength left me and I feel defeated inside.
Remind me again why I must not let myself sink into this

this is a difficult question to answer- You're going to feel down about the breakup for awhile, and your ex might have a different way of showing it. Your ex might date lots of girls right after the break up, but then feel really hurt down the line- after you have already recovered. Just be strong and try to keep your mind on other things.

Because he is an ex for a reason. You can think about the good old times all you want, but there must have been bad times that made you guys break up.

Its hard to get out of a relationship, but just remember that one day you will find somebody who makes you really happy.

It is normal to be like that. You will go through cycles of strength and weakness periodically. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you need to cry, do so. It is part of the process. Afterall, you are mourning a relationship, just like someone who died. Don't suppress your feelings!
Working is good, take the anger and sadness you have and convert it into positive energy. You'll then get satisfaction from the good results you obtain.
Good luck!

Oh, you can sink into it allright - FOR A LITTLE BIT. Then you climb back out, shake it off & keep forging ahead. You will have blue moments & sad moments & angry moments in the time ahead & you face them & get through them & YOU KEEP ON GOING. Keep working to do the things you need to do to make you happy. I understand so well exactly what you're going through & time is really the only thing that will make it any better. So hang in there & keep getting stronger. Take care & remember; one day at a time!!!!!

It takes time to get over a break up. What you are going through is COMPLETELY normal. Stick to your guns... and the more you get involved in OTHER things, the more likely you are to meet someone else...

You can't stop your feelings. Your problems start when you try to repress them. Just work through it, and know that when its over you will be a different person. A little stronger a little wiser. Good luck.

That will happen, has to be expected occasionally. Unfortunately. Keep your chin up! Be charming, alluring, confident; you'll meet someone new and your ex, if he's worthy, will miss what he lost.

It will take some time. You will think of him less and less every day.
