No, I disagree. It wouldn't work that way for me, anyway. If I really have feelings for them, those feelings will never go away.

I think it would depend on how much you thought of the person to begin with. Some people it seems that once they are out of sight, then the other party is out of mind. I can honestly say that I dont forget the ones that I love that quickly. I think that people can eventually overcome the feelings of sadness once a relationship goes sour if you dont see that particular person for awhile. Sometimes I think that if you see them day in and day out (if the relationship has gone bad) that would hurt moreso than not seeing them at all. Good luck

At first it may not seem like it, it might make you more crazy. But as time goes by, it is true. When you dont see something or someone for a while, you start doing other things, which keeps your mind busy which makes you think less about that person or thing. So yes it does work.

Yes. In my experience, pheromones are conveyed through sight, sound and smell and contribute to the dilemma of "I can't get over so-and-so." I also believe you must WANT to move on and you must WANT to get over someone you have deep feelings for. It doesn't mean you stop having those feelings, you acknowledge that you do; and then CHOOSE to try and have new feelings for another.

On the flipside, there is "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I think it just depends on the relationship. I tend to think for women absence makes the heart grow fonder, and for men it's out of sight, out of mind. Not always, but more often.

Yes...there is an old saying. You shouldn't let the path to your friends house over grow with weeds.--unknown.

Yes, you can love someone...even when you hardly see them. Sometimes it can be very painful..but over time the pain abates. There is no communication to foster or continue any fire.

You can be friends with someone...forever.

works great for me, in fact i fall apart for at least a month every time i do see her. because even though you dont see them and start to not think about them more and more, the feelings you have just hide themselves from you, until you see them again and then they all come rushing back out at you all at once.

out of sight does not necessary implies out of mind, properly due to distance, you can not see the person the way you are suppose to. but your frequents calls, messages, love cards, concere and care shows that despite the person is not with you rightaway, he or she is not out of your mind.

not really, because if you have feelings as much for someone, they will stay in your mind and in your heart forever.

i disagree completely. the love of my life is 1500 miles away, and it's agonizing. i think it's more of "absence makes the heart grow fonder."
