I worked in many overseas countries on and off for about 20 years before retiring, all contract work, the off bits were spent working on UK contracts!
I am always amazed at the Brit attitude to overseas workers!
In my opionion the Brit contract workers are about the worse in the world, but they are all under the impression that they are the best!!
I dont think I need give examples of outstanding UK contracts in the UK (outstanding by years) ?? Its not all down to the bosses!
No longer any real apprentice schemes, so you are not going to have any skilled workers, a short 6 week course seems to be enough to do the job now?
Wise up Brits, you no longer rule the world in any field!
Ditto to the Americans by the way!!

The UK is a soft touch. It is a tiny tiny Island yet we take in a hell of a lot of people. Skilled or not. There is not enough jobs. And yet by Jan 07 Romania and Bulgaria will have access as they are joining the EU. What a load of mismanagment crap.
If it was possible I would move to Aus. But they have emigration policy CONTROL.
Maybe in 5-8 years if things here don't improve.
That's only if G Bush and co. don't own the whole world. Or have destroyed it.

unemployment rates are high for CITIZENS. If we can't provide jobs for our current citizens - how can we make MORE jobs for more people coming in? Most countries have immigration laws and can't give jobs to folks who are NOT legal citizens, especially when there are already MORE workers than there are JOBS for them
Your question is poorly phrased.
