They need validation. Most boys truly enjoy the conquest.
The winning, they don't fully understand this themselves.
Even though they have a girlfriend , the pretty face smiling across the room is an ego builder that is hard to resist
If you are an early teen , enjoy your youth, don't place too much on early relationships. Each boy that passes through your life, will leave a memory and a lesson.
I'm 60 and have a treasure chest of memories. Things that happened to me in my teens, I'm just beginning to understand.
Thanks to the Internet, I am in contact with many old loves and friends, we still laugh at the memories and tell truths that were never revealed.
Enjoy your life, make beautiful memories.
Remember this, the exciting boys will turn out to be garage mechanics and some of the nerds and geeks will turn out to be real head turners.

Thats the whole point.... To see if you two can click..... I see nothing wrong with it... Its better that way then to be lead on and then really get your feelings hurt.......
Maybe he didnt like the person thats why he broke up.... But dating to me is not really in a realationship is more of I want to get to know the person to see If I would like them to be a GF or BF
