I really need help falling to sleep!!! I lay in my bed for hours just thinking and thinking and i never end up falling asleep until around 3:00 and even then its not deep sleep because i wake up every hour until i get up at 8:00. Please I need help! is there somthing i can do or take to help me fall asleep!!??

I used to have the same problem. Three things really helped me.

First, I started taking Tylenol Simply Sleep. It is an over-the-counter drug that is like Tylenol PM without the pain medication. I respond well to medication, but I didn't like the idea of taking a pill every day to go to sleep, so I tried some other things.

Second, I increased my workload during the day. I tried to be more intense about my work. I found I wore myself out better and that helped.

The biggest help has been light-therapy. I shine a special light at me when I first wake up. It adjusted my internal clock, and now I'm waking up and falling asleep with my wife. I don't think she will ever let me stop using it.

Do an hour of exercise an hour before bed, then take a warm bubble bath, put one your favorite DVDs on and turn off the lights and you will be asleep in no time.....unless you are like me and never sleep.

don't keep lying in bed get up until you feel tired and try and lay down again. what works for me is a warm glass of milk put on some soothing music and drift off to a sound sleep. if this does not work try talking to your physician a bout a light sleep aid.

Reading always helps me get to sleep. It takes your mind off of whatever your thinking about.

i think you should drink some chamimile tea with a tylenol PM pill and turn on a black light and watch a movie or read a book .. these will make your eyes tired and will sleep.

Melatonin over the counter....won't have the hangover effect of the "PM" drugs
