The best thing you can do is live with it until it fades in a month. Excessive washing will dry out and damage your hair. Re-coloring will also damage your hair. Wash it daily, use a good conditioner and give it time.

Like you said the color lasts 36 shampoos.
So the only way it fades is by shampooing.
Since it is going to last 36 shampoos, the best way is to shampoo five/six times daily.

Temporary colors always go on much, much more intense than you plan on. But the good news is that they fade a bit every time you shampoo. Give it about a week, and you should have the color your were going for. Until then, just put it in a ponytail.

Warm some olive oil and put on your hair. Wrap it in clingfilm and leave for 20 / 30 minutes. Shampoo your hair BEFORE WETTING it, then rinse (wet it first and you wont get the oil out) This will "fade" the dye by taking out some of the colour from your hair, so the end colour should be lighter ( and well condititioned) This is a good tip if you ever colour your hair an decide you dont like it.

By a highlighting kit that is meant to be used on top of coloring like Revlon's Custom Effects. It's not really intense like a lot of the highlighting kits are. I used it a hair color and then put "Lowlights" in and then "Highlights" and it came out great. I like it much better than other highlighters I have used and it didn't make my hair all dried out.
Good luck!

Go to a salon and ask for a "toner" which tones down the color. They should be able to recommend something until the color washes out.

Shampoo it a lot with clarifying shampoo. This should help strip the colour out. You should be able to notice a real difference after the sixth wash. Then switch back to your ordinary shampoo, and conditioner.

I did something similar once. Believe it or not I washed it with Dawn dish washing detergent. Just use about a dime size glob and be sure to rinse and condition well. It should lighten the shade a little bit.

u should not use oil for about 3-4days and shampoo daily till u don't get the perfect colour and dry your hair with a towel so that the colour starts fading slowly and then with a hair dryer to make your self look good.
