I think so. My son had them a lot, even when he was still in the womb...

As long as the baby is more upright then laying down all the time and burped properly after eating this generally isn't a problem. If you gently blow in their face (2 seconds) they change their breathing pattern and this usually gets rid of them.

All the time? I'd have baby checked out by his MD. Are you breastfeeding? What are you eating if so?and is baby gulping air? Bottle feeding.....make sure no air is getting in and burp well. Some babes have them more than others. Is baby spitting up with them? If everything else is ok, don't worry

well they can get them alot. not all babies do though. Are there any other symptoms like lots of spit up, crying, arching, lots of gas? My daughter 12 weeks and 3 days gets them all the time but she had other symptoms, we found out she has a bad case of G.E.R.D (acid reflux) Allergy to formula and they contribute to her having such frequent hiccups. this may not be your newborns case it just may be alot of hiccups but i wanted to share that with you in hopes that maybe it would help.

I believe so. Both of my girls has hiccups all the time. It seemed never ending at times.

You can check on some websites, like http://www.babycenter.com/ for information as well.

Even though hiccups may bother us, they don't bother the little ones. It's natural and they go away in time. Don't worry.

Young babies get the hiccups all the time. It usually bothers us a lot more than it bothers them.

yeah they get them a lot. You probably need to burp him more during feeding and after.

It'll pass. If it doesnt and he starts spitting up (he, she, didnt catch what the baby is, sorry) you might have to change formulas, or your diet if youre breast feeding.

Yes, just give him/her a few sips of water and that should take care of them.
