I am thinking about keeping one of the puppies, if my Jack Russell terrier has more than one. Should I keep a boy or a girl? Which will the mother get along with best?
cheers, Chris

Keep a male and have it fixed.
If you keep dogs of the same sex in the sme house you can have problems with same sex aggerssion. It is more common in some breeds than others but can happen. Sometimes two females will fight worse than two males will.
I always tell my clients to have one of each sex and fix them both.
It makes for a nice balanced home.

It depends on what u want to do i am a breeder i only keep the best out of my litter and it is a girl to keep the blood lines going if you are going to keep a male desex it as you don't want him breeding with his mum pick what one is the best i get a breeder friend of mine who was the first breeder in Australia to breed choc labs to pick my girls as it is better to get out side advice because i would keep them all if i could.

I don't think it much matters, it's more of a preferece thing. But if you keep a male, get him fixed. You don't want to take the chance of him breeding with his mom.
