Following on from a previous questiion, My car only has lap belts only at back,the manufacture of car don't do a retrofit a normalseat belt or supply a suitable seat Grrr. But I want to put little one in a seat withh a 3 point belt. (6yr old, not small either ) I've been to the normal shops and webb sites but can't find a seat tha'ldo the job. Legally I don't have too but I think the lapbelts are a bit dangerous in an accident so want to to sort.
any help, other than sellthe car!! appreciated.

Lap only belts are extremely dangerous for any passenger so you are right to be concerned. EZ on products makes a vest that you put on your child and it is tethered to the floor of your vehicle. You can use it with lap only belts and any child or adult can use it up to 168 #. You can find it at this link:

If you cannot purchase this product and you cannot retrofit shoulder belts in your rear seat, then your child should sit in the front seat in a booster seat using the lap and shoulder belt. He is far safer in the front using lap and shoulder than in the rear using a lap only belt. Kids are safer in the back seat, but only if they can be appropriately and safely restrained. In your case, he should sit in the front in his booster or you can purchase this harness system.

Call your local child protective services department ask there county health department too. There are seats that tether to the floor seats that hook over the top. I can't say you did not include year make model Yamster Mechanics need to help you

i would sell your car your child's safety comes first ,i don't now off any seat that are able to be fasend with a lap belt!!!!!!
