It is going to happen.
This is what Islam says are minor signs
1 Music and musical intruments will be found in every house
2 People will indulge in homosexuality
3 There will be a lot of illegitimate children
4 There will be a lot of liers
5 People will be closer to strangers than to their relatives
6 Hypocrites will be in control
7 People will drink alcohol in excess
8 People will compete to build high buildings
9 Two great countries will fight claiming the same thing
10 Earthquakes will increase
11 A man will wish he was dead
12 Women will outnumber men till in the end there will be 50 women to a man
The major sighs are
1 The sun will rise from the west
2 Smoke will rise from Yemen
3 The appearance of Dajjal. A man claiming to be a god fearing man but the opposite
4 The Dabbal (beast)
5 The yajuj and Majuj (gog and magog)
6 Mahdi will be born
7 Return of prophet Isa (Jesus) who will kill the pigs and break the crosses.
So says Islam

Sigh, no where, and I do mean no where does it say in the Bible that time is going to end, it only mentions the end of the age, the end to Lucifer and his demonic reign, but no where does it say that the earth is going to stop being in existance. I should know, I've read it 8 times. Yes, I'm pagan, but I do read, and it really bugs me that everyone shouts this and there is no textual fact behind this. Yes, we can start with Revelations, but this is a spiritual judgment, no where does it say it is a physical one except for some manifistations on the world, but it still says no where that the earth or time is going to end.

There is no end of time. Sure, the human race may go the way of the dodo, the earth gets burned to a crisp in 4.5 billion years or so, the universe looks like it's going to tear itself apart right down to the planck level in a few dozen billion years, but so long as spacetime exists, time will exist.

There are two things I had to ask myself. Why has our Creator
been waiting all this time? And why now?
The Earth is getting ready to go through a geological upheaval.
This will put humanity in dire straights. There will be spiritual
repercussions. We will see things we don't want to see!
Once the trouble reaches into the realities of life that has
nothing to do with our world, and violates their free will. "Thier sins have reached into the heavens." The Highest Power will
have to put a stop to it.

At some point in the next several million years an asteroid will slam into the earth destroying all human life.
I doubt that this will happen while we are alive. I am not expecting any gods or angels to appear and end our lives before that.

We are now living in th end of times, and just as those people in the biblical days witnessed the crucifying of Jesus on the cross, we shall be a witness and participant to the rapture, in our life time. As a participant, you can either be of those who ascend into the heavens with Jesus, That is what I will be doing, or you can be among those who refused Jesus and get left behind. No matter which way a person chooses, everyone will be a participant in the rapture. Ready or not, Jesus is coming back in our life time. ARE YOU READY?
At that time, EVERYONE who calims to be a non beliver will become a beliver, and evey knee shall bend.
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

They're not coming.
If you think that recent events are enough to prove that the world is ending, imagine how your average European would've felt during the Black Plague. Tens of millions of people dying everywhere -- HE would have thought that the world was over. But it wasn't, obviously. It was just a really horrible time.
The world has been through some traumatic, chaotic periods, but it's not going to "end" for many, many, many years. This period right now, though it's pretty bad, is nowhere close to some of the other things the world has been through... diseases, world wars, etc.

I think it's the vanity of the Christian/Islamic faiths that the world will "end" on thier watch. Who are we to think that humanity- or our version of God will be the thing that takes out the universe?
I think that the apocolyptic religions manifest our greatest folly in the form of pride.
