I keep losing things like my keys. For example, this morning, I locked them in my closet. See, i need the keys to open the closet, then i put the keys down in the closet when i start getting things out. So, of course i locked them in there. (I kinda have to lock them up, cause i live in a dorm. I don't trust my roomate yet.)

Have a designated place to keep your keys (and never deviate putting them elsewhere), preferably a secret place (a desk drawer, etc. where the roommate never looks). One memory trick that some psychologist suggested once was as you put a key someplace, imagine that place exploding....yah, weird, but supposedly it helps you remember.

Good luck from another of the memory-challenged.

I know you said something about walking, it really does work! You don't have to go outside or anything. Just walk around your house or even the hospital so you are already there. I went into the hospital and was in an observation status and given the option to go home ( I was only 1 cm dilated) or to walk around for an hour and see if I made any progress. Since I was already there I just decided to walk around. By the time the hour was up I could barely make it back to my room and I was already nearly 4 cm dilated. The pressure of the baby pushing down as well as contractions are what cause your cervix to open up and thin out. I know you probably don't want to walk around, I know I didn't, but trust me it works! The sooner your bundle is out in the world with you the sooner your body can relax. Good luck and Congrats!

You are forgetful because you are preoccupied... too many things on your mind. Make a mental note to stop yourself in your tracks next time you pick up or put down your keys so that you are cognizant of what you're doing. Most of the time we err is when we're not "in the present moment", when we are either thinking of what happened in the past or what is to come. If we would stay mostly in the present moment most accidents wouldn't even occur! Slow your mind down a bit, even if just today... and see what happens~ ;)

You're losing things because you're stressed and hurried. Try to allow a little more time then usual until the newness of the year has passed. New year (maybe 1st year college?) new roommate, all these thing reek havoc on your emotional state. Hang in there, it'll get better.

So if not its no big deal I hide things on myself too its funny
we think were being smart but we actually defeat our purpose.
I hope you can develop a trust level with your roomate cause its hard to live with someone you doubt if almost impossible

This is what I do... I have gotten a belt clip and instead of putting them down I clip them to my belt loop. No belt loop? Get a key ring that has the stretchy coiled band and put them on your wrist.
Hope this helps.

I have the same problem. I have to take a second when I sit things down to register in my head where I laid it. I find that when I don't do that I forget much more often. Try it. It works. It is not fool proof though. LOL
