My boyfriend has been stealing my makeup and other personal items from my handbag. I don't know why he would do that. When I sort of mention that I'm missing things he gets very quiet. What should I do?

That's very weird! Why would he do that?
Do you have any signs that he might be gay? And he likes girly stuff, so the only way to get them without coming forward is by stealing yours.
And how long have you been together? Maybe he is obsessed with you and wants to have your personal items and, I don't know, sniff them or sth...
Confronting him seems like a good idea! I don't know if he will admit anything though... I would say talk to his friends, but on the other hand no, don't do this to the poor guy... Just talk to him and be serious, not angry, but full of understanding and willing to help.

Confront him, and be up front with him, Ask him why are you taking things from your handbag? And if the answer is not good enough, you leave him, may be he has a problem.and if he does, then he needs to get help, it is no need to be around a thief!!!

I would confront him! You never know he could be a cross dresser. Trust me the ones that you think are not usually are! He doesn't need to go in your purse anyway unless he has something in there that is important to him and then he should still ask!
Good Luck and make sure you know he is doing it before you ask him about it. Set it up to wear you will know it's him.

What makes you think that he is doing it? Is it possible that a co-worker or someone else is doing it? Maybe it is falling out and you don't know it. It could be a hint that he doesn't like you wearing so much makeup but he doesn't know how to tell you.

yes you should have asked him that whom to you are giving my personal and make up items or keep a strict watch on your purse to know who is stealing the things in really .

What is he a wanna be? Stand up. Don't sorta mention. It's your stuff. Get your confidence, tell him it's unacceptable, give him a chance to tell you. If he doesn't come clean...dump him. Deceitful now...deceitful later.

Talk to him, he may think you are prettier without the make up and he dont want to cause a fight so he just hides it.
