I'm not a doctor so you can trust me. The first thing I'd recommend is to fire your doctor and find a licensed non-allopathic physician and run the following by them. For the pain, I have read that a lot of people with shingles have gotten help by using a 70%/30% combination of DMSO and Aloe Vera. 99.9% straight DMSO would probably sting quite a bit so I wouldn't go that route. If the 70/30 causes itching you can delute it with water. Just apply it to very clean skin and let it soak in for 20 minutes. I personally use 99.9% straight DMSO on my ankles for pain relief and it works miracles. I'm sure your doctor has had you on antibiotics at least once in your life, so to fight the raging case of candida I recommend using a product called Can-Sol. Lay off the sweets and processed flour. Next, find some fresh unpasturized unhomoginized raw milk. Get it from a good supplier that takes great care of cleanliness and only grass feeds their cows. Drink at least a gallon every three days. Get rid of any food that has MSG in it and/or high fructose corn syrup. Do not eat out for at least a month. Prepair all your food by slow cooking it or grilling it for that same month. Do not use your microwave oven even for reheating. Shingles is a virus and the way a virus replicates is to build each part of the virus seperately and then assemble the parts back together into a whole virus in something like an assembly line. You can break this cycle by using only one product I know of that will also gently detox you. It is Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) and it has literally saved me a life of suffering from IBD. It will also greatly enhance your immune system. All allergies are immune system related. Take buffered vitamin C to tolerence will help get this started until you can get some of these things ordered. Finally you need a good colodial multi vitamin/mineral/herbal liquid supplement. I think I've tried them all and the one I recommend is by the same company that makes the NCD. It is called Essential Daily Nutrients. Your health is not to be taken for granted nor should it be relocated to the allopathic profession. You should take the responsiblilty for your health upon your own sholders. Treat your whole body to a healthier lifestyle and I'll bet shingles become just a memory for you. I don't remember the location I order the Can-Sol from and I've order DMSO from many different places so just put the information into yahoo search and I'm sure you'll find what you need. The location to purchase the NCD and EDN is listed in the source box below. I am not a doctor nor is any of my advise to be taken as medical advise. Consult your doctor and thank the FDA for laws that suppress my first amendment rights.

My recommedation is trying to use a topical cream made with capsaicin this limits the pain and can be applied several times a day. If the burning is too much i'd switch to a lidocaine cream.

Remember shingles takes time to heal , it's an aoutimmune disorder so building up the immune system is key.

Another treatment is Touch Therapy by a certified therapist in your area.
