Get your baby to the doctor ASAP if the welts are worse. People cant safely diagnose your baby here and requires a professional.

I would not dream of putting any baby's welfare in the hands of Yahoo Users (no offense intended). Some will be honest - others with good intentions who know nothing, and then you have people who would deliberately give you very bad advice as a joke.

Did you pediatrician do a strep test on your daughter? Strep doesn't necessarily present as a sore throat - it can present with hives. I'd have her checked again.

Always listen to your instinct about your child. If the doctor says there's nothing wrong but your gut tells you there is - pursue it until you feel you have the right answer.

My 10 year old grandson also broke out in huge hives all over his body yesterday. They were even inside his mouth. Dr. seems to be leaning towards nerves, but running tests. I hope your Dr. is as concerned as mine seemed to be, I hate when they say it's an allergic reaction to something, and that's it. Hopefully we will get these young ones back in good health soon!

I am in no way qualified to diagnose what is wrong with your infant - however, might she be allergic to the laundry soap you're using, or fabric softener? Or the fabric itself?
This sounds to me like an allergic response. Perhaps you can suggest that to your doctor...
