depends on your description of technology. the Persians were masters of Astronomy, for one (e.g. Omar Khayam demonstrated, long long before Galileo, that the Earth is not the center of the universe, and that other celestial bodies revolve around the sun. another example is the Jalali Calendar, which is still unsurpassed, after many centuries, in its accuracy).
Contributions to other fields of science and technology have also been numerous.
