Religion is something which weak minded people need to cling onto because they are so scared of living there own life. If something goes wrong then it is ok because God must have wanted it. Religion is a way for people to justify horrible acts from murders in ireland to lynchings in america. Religion is a way for people to feel self rightous and important as they have no importance in their own life as it is empty and hollow.

Tell me why is it that magnificent churches and cathedrals could be built whilst at the time people where dying in squaler. Why must religion have these extravagent places of worship when they are not needed. People should look in side there hearts and use the money spent on these extravagant buildings to help needy people. Rather than priest lecturing me about hell and damnation why aren't they out in the most needy places helping people instead of condeming.

I bet now you are all going to say you are to prey for my soul. Save it you poor deluded people.

Not evil -- it served its purpose in older times when humanity knew far less and the world was much more of a place to fear. It provided hope and comfort, and a sense of community to people who needed to rely on each other to survive.

But I WOULD argue that religion is a tradition that has outlived its usefulness in most of the modern world....

without or with faith, you'll have sturdy human beings doing sturdy issues and evil human beings doing evil issues. yet for sturdy human beings to do evil issues, that takes faith.- Steven Weinberg, quoted contained in the ny circumstances, April 20, 1999 US physicist analyze exhibits that the reason human beings conflict with emotion to locate equitable recommendations is pinpointed the area of the mind said as the insular cortex, or insula, it somewhat is likewise the seat of emotional reactions. the actual shown reality that the mind has this variety of excellent reaction to unfairness exhibits that sensing unfairness is a worry-free advanced ability. The emotional reaction to unfairness pushes human beings from severe inequity and drives them to be honest. This remark exhibits our worry-free impulse to be honest isn't an advanced element that we study. It for this reason completely illustrates that all human beings have morals managed through the mind and that Christians are totally incorrect to purpose to declare morals as their own!!!! yet Christians discovered a fashion round it! authorities records instruct that Christians are vastly over represented in prisons for sexual, violent and fraudulent crime at the same time as 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on 3 hundred and sixty 5 days authorities figures instruct atheists make up only 2% of the penal complex inhabitants! The Catholic Church is paying tens of millions in reimbursement for the sex/paedophile crimes of their clergymen on my own! Christians are vastly over represented contained in the divorce courts! Christians invented the theory of sin and then the conception so that you could sin, ask forgiveness, get pardoned and start up with a clean sheet! So no wonder that they are so professional at it really is it? A Christian is a guy that feels repentance on Sunday for what he did on Saturday and is going to do on Monday. - Thomas Russell Ybarra

Why ask a question when you've already made up your mind?

There's nothing wrong with acknowledging the creator and thanking God and praising God for giving us all we have.

I somewhat agree. Live as you preach and don't stuff your beliefs down the throats of people that couldn't care less. That goes for atheists too.

At least we have a mind rather weak or strong, Your mind is gone, You don't have a mind. Do you have a doll baby to play with or a little toy truck, Or is that too much for your mind to comprehend.

What's it to you? People are free to believe what they want, as are you. It's a shame you're so angry.

I won't pray for you, first of all because I'm an atheist, and secondly because you are absolutely right.
