I mean, I broke up with him a few weeks ago, we talked & got back together, then last week he broke up with me. Well, it began as amicable but has now resorted in him being rude and obnoxious and text rude comments to me. Why is this? I think he still cares because I decided to stay gone and I am not responding to this childish behavior. I still care about him and this hurts deeply but I can't bear to have contact with him. It's like rubbing salt into an open wound. Any advice on the most appropriate response. Serious answers only please. Thanks

Well he most likely still does care for you too. But he is just being a little childish. He may feel that you hurt him by breaking up with him, and then realized that it might be the best for you two, but doesn't want you to be with anyone if hes not with you. Sooner or later he will probably stop. But as for a response to that, I wouldn't respond at all. If you ever see him and he says anything just be kind. "Kill him with kindness." Good Luck!

Stay smart and stay away from him, he is trouble and needs help, also being immature. You may contact him, once and for all, and say, In the best interest of us both, I think it will be better for us to go our separate ways. We have tried, more then once, and it has not worked, so I wish you all the best, and have a good life. Leave it at that, and you do not have to go through a lot of explaining. He may have issues in his life that he has to deal with. Let that be someone else problem, not yours, don"t waste you time and energy, waiting for him to get himself together!!

Well the game you two are playing was that you broke up and then got back together. Now you've changed the rules, why would he take you seriously?

If you really are walking away from him, then do so in your actions. Being bothered by text messages from him doesn't indicate you are done.

When you make up your mind, the appropriate response is none.

It sounds like he's regretting letting you go and he has to be a jerk about it. Move on, you can do better. Block his messages, if you can, and ignore his attempts to try to contact you. There's someone out there who will treat you with more respect than he is. Hang in there.

Just a proposition:
why don't you see him somewhere suitable for this and shoot directly? Ask what does he want and what's the problem in order to stop the games and the agony.

ps: how old is he?
