I understand your theory on odds. I understand that people tend to only notice that 1% and forget about the other 99% of life. That is true. I am a Christian and I believe in miracles because I have received first hand. How do you explain it when you pray and make extremely specific detailed prayer request that would only come by nature and it is granted. It isn't a request in which you can arrange mentally with in your own mind. It isn't one that anyone else can arrange for you. I prayed for a very detailed specific sign in regards to something I was making a decision on. I didn't know what to do and I asked for guidance with a sign so that there was no guessing. I was granted my answer.
Sometimes we are in situations that we learn from. If it is your time to die, so be it, then you die, nothing will change that. If you are in a crash and live, and everyone else dies, there is a purpose for it. You will learn something, someone else will learn something, many possibilities.
Now, just because I say I understand your theory regarding odds, doesn't mean I agree with you. I believe that everything is a miracles, creation itself is a huge miracle of God. You are entitled to your opinion though, but don't think badly or down on Christians because we believe differently, we are entitled to our opinions and beliefs as well.
Have a great day!

Granted, the scenario you posted has probabilities in being just chance that they lived. But make no mistake, miracles do occur.
My children are an example. I was told early on in life I'd have no children. My body wasn't capable of forming or having one they said. They being 8 doctors in 10 years, all of them specialists.
So I gave up all hope, as did my husband. 10 years later, I get pregnant, not once, but twice, and give birth to 2 healthy children.
So you can say, hey, all the doctors were wrong, but 8 doctors over a period of 10 years? I laugh because the same people who say perhaps the doctors were wrong are the same people who will believe the testimony of those same doctors in court; they will point at the testimony of the doctors and say "look! 8 doctors said it, it MUST be true!".
I say God is above all that, and gives us the desires of our hearts. If you don't believe, it's probably because you asked for one and didn't get it.

IF 150 people were on a plane and it crashed, and only 3 survived, that is a miracle. God had plans for those three that survived and was not ready to take them out of this world yet.
I dont' concern myself with odds or things of that nature, I just trust in God 100%. He took my sister when she was 33 years old with cancer. That was the complete life span that He chose for her to live. I am 48 years old, and she was 3 years older than me. God has His reasons and we are not to question Him but trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Ecclesiastes 5:18 Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion
What ever life span we each have, is the portion God has given us.

First of all, GOD doesn't put us in these situations. We put ourselves in them. GOD created us to live forever, but unfortunatley Satan ruined that. So, now when something bad happens and something good comes out of it, we see that as a miracle. GOD doesn't destroy life, he creates it. You sound very angry. You need to read the bible and stop listening to what every body says. The Holy Bible is the only way you will ever know why GOD does what he does. Don't blame others for the stupid things we do to ourselves.

because every single living breathing moment of our lives is a miracle we can not explain why we are still alive living and breathing. It is quite sad that we see big extraordianary things as being miracles when everyday little things are miracles as well.
Tell me how you can explain away these kind of moments as being coincidenses because i don't think things happen for nothing they have to happen for a reason.

I am a Christian and God has provided my family with many miracles. For example he has healed two of my family members from Cancer, including one of them divinely (tumour vanished)..... God does provide for his people and those who have faith in him... you dont see stuff like that happening in "Islam".......
I dont care if you believe me or not..... all I know is that God is real and Jesus is his son and nothing you could say or do will ever change or make me question my faith in God for he has proved himself to me many many times.

If Christians were not allowed to pretend random occurrences were miracles, they would have nothing to support their superstitions.
Using the Christian model of miracles, for every life he saves, he murders millions of others. For every person he cures, he strikes millions down with a worse disease.
Interesting how miracles do not alter the odds.

if you were so convinced that it is all odds and random occurances then it would not bother you that some believe that some things show God is still at work. Ask yourself how does that concern you. Who exactly is it you are rebelling against??
