At five weeks, you can go ahead and ween them. I'm not sure canned milk is a good idea. I ween my puppies on oatmeal, and gradually work in some dry dogfood (small crunchy bites by Pedigree) untill I eliminate the oatmeal all together. Just give them water to drink and they will be okay. Good luck.

At 5 weeks it is time for the puppy's to be on their own. Mommy should be clear out of the picture at that age. Mix puppy food kibble with warm water in a blender, and then make a "puppy dish" to feed then with. To do this take a round pie baking dish and place a round bowl upside down in the center. This will make the puppy's spend more time standing out side their food dish than they spend standing in their food.
At that age they need to be fed 4 times a day.

They're old enough to be weaned. Soak a good quality dry puppy food in warm water, put it in a saucer or very shallow bowl, and set it down for the puppies. At this age, you should probably feed them 4 times a day. gie them about 15 mins. to eat, then take away any leftovers. Also, they need to have fresh water available to them at all times.

goats milk is great for puppies, I am not sure where you are from but you should be able to get it eighter in powder form or concentrate, both mix with water, it will give the puppy a shiney coat and add weight, all of my english bulldog puppies were raised on it because there mother refused to nurse, you should be able to mix it will some dry food soon.

Good quality dry food soaked in warm water. No "milk" needed.
