cats are like that, they like someone when it suits their purpose. plus they know when someone doesn't like them, which they don't mind because it gives them a chance to practice their phuck you attitude. they'll get over it, try having him go around with fish in his pockets.

Animals sense people more than people can.
Cats are very dominant and possessive animals.
Your cats probably do not like your guy cause they think that he will take you away from them. Give them a chance to adjust.
Not to go without mentioning, maybe it is a spiritual thing. MAybe his spirit is not at peace with that of the cats. With regards to his pass life and all.

What kind of a question is this? Are your cats dating him? Or your dog? Does it matter whether your pets love him or not? Do you love him? Does he love you and treat you right?
That's all it matters. Everything else can go to the dogs (pun intended).
