Before the exam started, some of my classmates got the answers from those who took the exam first. So i copied the answers also. As soon as i was starting the exam, my prof caught me holding the paper. He took my paper and that of my classmates too. He cancelled the quiz, and said he was so disappointed with us, but i think he was referring to me alone coz my grades are ok and he knows i study for his subj, but i was tempted coz the answers were there already. So the whole class are mad at me now. Coz we dont know what will happen next. That prof is known for failing a lot of students. What shall i do? to the prof? to my classmates? i dont wanna go to school anymore...im so ashamed of what i did.

Don't let one poor choice have an devastating adverse effect on your future life and prevent you from finishing college. You are not the only one who did it. This doesn't make it right but it shares the blame. Apologize to the professor for having a weak moment and allowing your self to be misled by your peers and tell him that you will accept the consequences that he deals out. Apologize to the students who did not attempt to cheat.

Finish college the best way you can and don't get caught the next time.

You won't be kicked out for cheating unless you're in a really strict private school, in which case you'll be going to public school. There's a chance you'll fail the class. However, since the professor knows you're normally a good student you may be able to salvage the class by apologizing to him and explaining what happened. Don't lie or sugarcoat it, just be honest. If the rest of the cheaters are mad that's their problem. The professor will probably just write up another test, or more likely give a different assignment. The rest of the class really shouldn't care too much as he's unlikely to punish them for your actions, but it is possible. If they do just apologize if it comes up. You're young, this is the kind of thing that gets forgotten very quickly. The best thing you can do is learn not to give into such temptation.

i might assume this professor figured it out. you are able to make an apology and be honest along with her approximately what is going on, yet that for the period of all probability shouldn't substitute the end results of this incident. You cheated on an examination and are going to could pay the penalty which would be getting a grade of 0 on the examination at a minimum and being asked to go away the path at a maximum (assuming it is the 1st time you have been caught cheating).

Being ashamed of doing wrong is one of the first steps of making it right. I would talk to my classmates and apologize for getting them caught by accident. I guess it would not hurt to apologize to the professor and let him know that you had never done that before; but if you get the opportunity to continue to go to school (you can be kicked out of some universities for cheating), work harder than you ever had before, and you should never cheat again

Go to Taco Bell and fill out a job application, I don't know of anywhere else that would hire a cheater.

This also says a lot about your character, you do okay in class but still took the invitation to cheat, I don't get it.

Anyway, who cares what the cheaters think of you, just continue on... this will be a "non issue," within a few weeks.

If you fail, you did deserve it... move on and retake it next semester.

There's an old saying -- With friends like that, you don't need any enemies. You cannot control what those other cheaters do (or don't do), but you can be mature and take responsibility for what you did. You'll have to take the F and perhaps request opportunities to earn back his trust and some extra points to bring your grade back up.

You just need to stand up for your actions and talk to your professor. Admit exactly what you said above, and hope for his leniency. Most professors will fail you, and can technically even go as far as expulsion, if your college has that policy. The best thing you could do is to go to your professor and explain what happened.

I would recommend being very aggressively proactive.

Make an appointment to speak with the Prof. Go to his/her office and express your guilt, offer to do any additional work he/she requires to "make up" for the lack of judgement and insure you follow-through. Keep in constant communication...call him/her weekly to insure he/she knows your sincerity (spelling?).

Regarding the rest of the class....ponder....

If you were in a group of cars speeding...75 in a 55 MPH zone....you get stopped by Police...the rest of the cars have to slow down...is it your fault that they have to slow down? Of course not. All parties were in error....you're the one that was caught.

You may not have to go back to school.
You can possibly look forward to getting kicked out.
Are you angry at yourself because you did something wrong, or because you got caught?
