My,
You still love him, you just want to stop loving him. First you got to talk the situation with him and If he continues to hurt you sentimentally of physically you should get away from that person as soon as possible! You are way to important to be treated like you are worthless.
Remember you are strong enough to do it!!!1

However, you sound like you still want to hold on to this relationship. Hint to my guess: you still call him your "love".
Why is he hurting you and in what ways? You didn't say so I can't advise properly. If the things that he does is totally unacceptable for as a boyfriend, then drop him. Be decisive. It will hurt for sure, but in the long run, you know you are just being good to yourself. Love yourself, don't let others hurt you. If you don't love yourself, others won't treasure you. Get what I mean?
But if you feel that the things he does is still tolerable and does not defy morality or common sense etc., then talk to him again. Give this relationship one last chance. Nobody's perfect. While you said that he's hurting you a lot, have you ever hurt him back in return?
Think about it before you decide whether to break off with him or not. Take care.

Do no whatever you do tell him you dont fancy him anymore, its better to say that you just dont love him like you used to.

There is no easy way. You need to just tell him so that you can be honest with him and most important, to be honest to yourself.

its good to always sit him down and discuss issues that troubles you. give him time to reason, but if he rejects your view tell him to his face that you dont want him any longer
