This is the great drawback to ground grappling. Many times when a man is attacked it is either by a larger man, an armed man or multiple men.
Contrary to most Hollywood flicks attackers do not stand in line waiting to attack you. they rush you, usually from behind and usually without warning.
This is why I encourage people to round out there training to be able to strike, ground grapple and also grapple upright. The more scenarios you train for the more versatile your self-defense will be.

You stay on your feet to lock (and that usually turns into breaks), keeping one person in front of the other taking as little damage as possible. Once your have disabled or injured one sufficiently you move on or you just keep locking, throwing, and moving. Despite what's been said, people do attack in twos, threes, etc. and can do it effectively. Effectively just means doing damage to you.
I've always heard a striker is better for multiple opponents but 2 and 3 against one is never good. The faster you can end things the better. Whether that is a disabling blow to a person's knee, throwing them to the ground to get to the next person, or some other myriad of techniques, it all depends upon the situation. To be able to handle both strikers and grapplers is important and to be able to flow as needed is key,.

I never thought i would say this but ninedemons is right... lol.
Seriously it is hard to take on 2 people. A lot of depends on your environment, and the context in which you are dealing with them. If they jump you, get the initiative and the element of surprise on you, you are going to be in a lot of trouble. And honestly, that is probably what you are going to come against.
If you got two guys talking smack and trying to fight you, it is best to avoid all that and live to fight another day.
If you come across two people attacking one person and you get the surprise than yeah chances are high in your favor.
If you are in a tight area, with a wall or something, and you can grab one guy, shield yourself with him while choking him out, then deal with the second guy... than yeah there is a chance. These are all "best case" type of scenarios.
it's not impossible to beat two people if you keep your wits about you, but it sure is not easy. Especially if they are sober, and intent on doing you great harm. Most of the time a two person scenario comes up when you are fighting one guy and his boy blind sides you. Not a lot you can do about that, but be aware of your surroundings, and try to keep people in front of you.
Two on one, no matter what striking, grappling, or what you have is not good odds. It is doable, but it really depends on the situation.

How do strikers deal with two attackers? DON'T believe in all bul!sh!t you see in blacbelt factory or movies! In real life no matter what styles you do or how good you are, in the end, you will most likely get your a55 kick if you try to fight more than one person at a time.

hopefully, one at a time, you gotta get to one first and use him as both shield and weapon. trip, throw, and block with his body.
