this is due to heat transfer. energy is used inside to keep the food cold, however the energy is released outside through the pipes at the back of the refrigerator, the energy released is hot.

that's because cold air is blown out on the inside but the motor is running also so that's why it blows out hot air on the outside and that's why you feel heat but if its to hot you may need a new refrigerator

The heat comes from the compressor that makes the cold. Motors running always get warm. The cold is piped inside where it's insulated.
