No. I would not say it is real love, you just fell in love with a fantasy, or idea of who this person was, or was all about, think about it, if you were to meet this person in real life they probably wouldn't be the same and to say the least not even possess any of the attractions you fell in love with......trust me i know it is easy to fall for someone on the Internet, maybe it's the words they use the way they express themselves through what they say, and it can all become intriguing, and exciting...but that can never be compared to someone in real life, that is more tangible to say the least.

It could become a true love but only after a developing a real world relationship. Anything that starts on the net and then moves to "meets" are just tiny little rendevous. It takes being up close and personal with someone thru all the little ups & downs in day to day life.

I used to chat a lot. But I've found that people you "meet" on the internet are shallow, they don't take friendships seriously. So use great care in deciding if it is real or not. Chat is not real life.

on the net yeah i think you could fall in love with everything about them who they are personaly emotionally and mentaly but you cant get that spark like the sensation of a soft touch of a hand and eyes that you fall into..so im think this is a good a place as any to meet people...im sure many will disagree but im sure many relationships have been brought together through these boxes of sparks....

i don't have experience in this but i kinda do my Friend dated a guy from Boston and they were together for 3 or 4 years they went to see each other all the time so if u are able to go see this guy and he can come see u then it might just work out just don't get hurt make sure u know the guy first i hope this helps in your decision.

It happened to me. Although this kind of relationship sure has it's ups and downs like any other. As for the genuiness of the love, it'll take some time to answer that.

i dont know, i think that internet can just be fanasy sometimes, although you do sometimes find that one special person that you meet you are smitten with and it could feel an attraction but, as far as love i dont really know, there are sites like eharmony.com that specialize in that area. good luck

Yes, it is very possible. My husband and I met on the internet last year, and we got married last month. Anything is possible.
