hi!
yes people do not talk about eating disorders regarding men but it does happen. they can suffer from bulimia, anorexia or binge eating for the same reasons a woman can.
it can be triggered for a great deal of reasons- bullying, abuse, overpowering loved one, feelings of being inadequate, self concious and developing low self esteem mabe due to constantly being showed pictures of what the 'ideal' body type is.
is seems strange to think of men feeling the same way as many women when they look in the mirror or compare themselves to friends, but they need support and guidance to recover just as women with an eating disorder do.

Of course they do. Men primarily suffer obesity as an eating disorder but plenty out there are anorexic etc. Its not highlighted as much because its not as common in young male teenagers compared to female teenagers.
Look at the no. of fat men you pass in the street on your way home tonight. If they look obese then there's your eating disorder!

men suffer with the same eating disorders as women do but it is not highlighted in the press,
although men are even less likely to admit to having these disorders, they suffer from them just as much as women do.

Yes of course they do, in todays society men are under pressure to look good as well as women.
I think that every body should be happy in the way they look but society wont let you.

Yes, they do. Unfortunately, I had to learn about this the hard way. My brother suffered bulemia for years. He died from it as he lived with it. Cause of death was 'failure to thrive'. Bulemia and anorexia are all about control psychologically, they really have very littel to do with diet.

yes. my ex had bulimia and was sectioned for it. he had had it sicne he was a teenager and hid it by drinking a lot of alcohol so that when he was sick people thought it was the drink. he said it was stress that started him off and a reaction to the stress rather than the pressure to be thin

Yes ,Men usually binge-eat.
They do this when depressed or frustrated.
