That's what OUR young have to look forward to... why don't we ask our elected officials with grown children to demand that THEIR children also serve, as well as the children of the rich, super-rich and powerful? How many elected officials in the past 40 years have had children actively serving in any active conflict or war?
Right now there only ONE Senator with a son serving in some cozy office, enjoying air conditioning and a comfortable bed at night...!
It's sooooooooo easy to be pro-war when you ain't the one going off to war... it's so easy to call someone a coward for not going to war when you're not going to war... it's so easy to question a person's sense of patriotism when you're the gullible one thinking we're looking for weapons of mass destruction... when in truth we're defending Prick Cheney's cronies' interests in the oil fields...!

Yep, sure is. The smart ones will stay out of the service and National Guard until we get out of the Mideast. If the Republicans elect another President and control Congress expect either Syria or Iran to be invaded. It's always the chicken hawks who want to fight the war like Rush Limbaugh who got out of Nam because of a pimple on his butt or Shrub who got into the National Guard because of his Daddy's influence and didn't even fulfill his obligation.

QUIT Already -- if you do NOT stand for this country of ours (and all the freedoms and rights you enjoy), then YOU need to leave this country (and you WILL experience the LOSS of the rights you now enjoy) -- and, I can assure you, that YOU will NOT like the results.
How do I know this? Well, first of all, Since my family immigrated to America (and my Parents were 1st Generation American Born -- and they were LEGAL immigrants), we ALL have served our Country's Military -- yes ALL have served.
YOU have not seen the casualty reports from WWI, WWII, and all the others proceeding this current conflict, and YES, my family HAS served in ALL conflicts since WWII (my father was a paraplegic from combat -- like many other veterans who sustained multiple combat wounds -- and his unit lost many soldiers), right up to the current Conflicts where we, the 2nd Generation American Born, are serving. This is NOT to exclude all the others, whose families have been American Born for many, many generations -- whose service is just as important to our great country.
Quit already -- you have NO IDEA of what you are talking about. OUR young people serving (including my siblings) come from all walks of life, all races, and all socio-economic backgrounds.
And yes, we REALIZE what that service means, and WILLINGLY Take on the BURDEN that YOU are UNWILLING To accept yourself -- the BURDEN of service so that OTHERS (like yourself) can have the freedom to denegrate the service we freely provide.

We've got about two more years to deal with this crap, then Bush will be out of office! Hopefully next President won't be a crooked, warmonger. Did you notice since they started investigating him regarding the high oil prices how siginificantly they have dropped? The next President will hopefully be much smarter.

Are you new???? Where have you been for every war the U.S. has ever fought? I put 25 of those young men in bags last time I was there. Everyone of them volunteered their lives for our country and I would have gladly traded places with each and every one of them. And you have the nerve to post their names in complaint.

How many people died on the freeway/highway last year? About 50,000 in the US...
Joining the service isn't something you do for your health...
