islam is about nothing more than power and domination. Cruelty is a great way to achieve those objectives. Keep as many people under your thumb as possible. islam is a false, evil religion founded by a madman warlord.
By the way, stoning does occur in muslim theocracies every day. Even today. Educate yourself.
Christianity does NOT advocate or endorse stoning. Never has. Again, educate yourself.

There are countries in this world that claim to be highly civilized and good christians, but still they poison or electrocute some of their criminals to death. Even when they committed their crime while being minor and/or are mentally handicapped, or are most likely innocent, but don't have the possibility (money) to get a good lawyer that can really dig into the case. If you think it's only the methods of killing that are disturbing, you are so wrong.

is stoning barbaric and cruel thts for you to decided i say it is but lets think about tha reason it was implimented because everyone has a concious and if tha true nature and setting these laws where to keep people down and objectify people then islam wouldnt be growing so rapidly even among the "westerns" stoning was set forward as a punishment to those who comited adultry ( for tha people who dont understand adultry and are mistaking it for tha word fornication adultry is someone who has sex out of wedlock ) i think this is a brilient idea this will solve many problems of tha world today if people dont comit adultry and fornication then sexualy transmited diseases would be at a alltime low orphans and fatherless children would be at an alltime low basicaly many other problems will be solved directly and indirectly crime of all types poverty children would be raised to be outstanding citizans all because of one barbaric and crule law
then i put forward this Question wiegh the right of people in wedlock commiting adultry to tha benifits if everyone was sexually inactive

jews are more likely to stone. but I doubt that its been done by Jews or Muslims for a very long time.
Keep in mind, it's just the death penalty without modern technology, which by the way, people argue over how much pain they feel in the electric chair.

Not all of them insist on it. Executions in Iran are now typically carried out by hanging from mobile cranes. Not much improvement, maybe, but hey, it's only 300 years or so since Christians stopped burning witches.

Much more civilized to have government agents argue over how much pain can be inflicted before it is "torture," huh?
Or, to indiscriminately deploy "cluster bombs" that inflict massive wounds and even death on unsuspecting people, mostly children.
It is amazing how some people can turn a blind eye to their own barbarities and cruelties while vilifying others for lesser or equivalent acts.
Maybe that's what that passage about beams & motes is referring to, huh?

Stoning is the punishment of choice in both the Old Testament and the Quran. If you are a religious follower and you take the words of your Bible literally, what else are you to do?
For instance the New Testament list's the name of the saviour as Jesus Christ. You wouldn't arbitrarily change that name if you were a Christian, would you?
To some, sexual abstinence might be seen as cruel as well. To a religious follower, it's necessary. Religion is all about arbitrary rules and following them perfectly. Religions contain many rituals... you might as well ask: "Why are there fundamentalists?"
