Thin hair will always be thin hair. The more you do to it, the thinner it gets. Coloring, excessive brushing, perms...they all contribute to thinning. I keep my thin hair colored, but I have a short cut where I don't need to use a curling iron or anything harsh on it. I blow dry it on low, "fingering" it into place with mouse. When dry, I use a soybean based pomade to give it that spikey look. Also, don't wash your hair more than once a week. Might as well go with a short layered cut, cause long cuts look terrible on thin hair; extensions will really damage it also. Godloveya!

Take the vitamin Biotin. My dermatologist recommended it after my hair started falling out after my pregnancy. He said it makes your hair shaft produce thicker hair follicles! I've been taking it for 6 months and it works. It will take about 6 weeks before you notice any difference. But keep at it!

I have very thin hair and putting layers in my hair really helps it appear and feel thicker. Also, cutting my hair shorter (with layers) seems to help too.
I also use mouse.
Best of luck!

It's called Horse's main...you can get it at a beauty supply..or I believe they sell it at a drug store. It thickens your hair. It does work...you can also consult you dermatologist. They can help you...my mom's hair was thinning and it helped her. Also get your thyroid checked..sometimes it can be due to that.

it's not called horse's main.....its MANE&TAIL shampoo and conditioner...and they have other products too. It's called that because ...it can be used to wash a horse's tail...but it IS FOR HUMANS..which is why it is sold in beauty supply stores...but it thickens your hair...ive tried it.
