I really don't think it's that big a deal if your sheets look like Martha Stewart chose your bedding & showed you how to make it - lol - but that the bedding is clean, the bed is made up nicely, the area around the bed is neat (no dirty skivvies in the floor), & the bedside table should be pleasing to look upon. Really - you might not notice a whole lot of things like that, but ladies do. She's thinking about the whole environment, while you . . . just aren't thinking with your brain!!! lol Take the time & effort to make it all look nice & you will be rewarded so nicely for the little bit you put into it!!!

Yes, for example– if your sheets are clean but somehow yellowish due to discoloration.. it really does not look appealing and quite embarassing if someone visits. Even though IT IS clean, it does not LOOK clean, therefore still giving the unpleasant feel.

Anything that is washed regularly - once a week or sooner if need be - is okay. Guys tend to prefer - no frilly flowery things though - otherwise - have it complement the color scheme of the room.

Yes. I would say colur, and texture of the sheets...it has to be silk sheets...well most of the time anyway.
