How many toys do you have? I had a lovebird that was perfectly happy alone (although I did end up getting him a girlfreind later) they are very active birds... they like larger cages... so they are able to do their acrobatics... they squirp/squeek/and generally make alot of small noises...he/she needs alot of stimulation... toys, toys, toys, and more toys... they like hanging upside down and stuff so rope toys are good. So are bells, noise makers,etc.... I would stay away form mirrors, they tend to bond with the birdie in the mirror and not you... thats if you want to hold it... if not then get a playmate and enjoy the circus.... they are great birds....hope this helps....

I have 2 lovebirds myself, and they do this sort of thing all the time. If they are scared or alarmed they will do this. Mine also do this when they first wake up in the morning. They are fairly hyper birds, and contrary to the belief, they do great when alone. They bond better to you also, as with any animal they all need attention. I would recommend getting them lots of toys at least 3 in the cage, and switching them out regularly, they have to have constant stimulation or they can get depressed! Hope this helps!

it is probably starved for attention and excersize. If you cant pay alot of attention to it, get it a companion. Lovebirds dont like being alone.
