I was silly enough to buy one of their 'Value' ham sandwiches about a month ago. It was utterly dreadful. They hadn't even bothered to cut it in halves. Two lumps of dry-ish bread with some marg. in the middle, and a wafer-thin single sheet of processed 'ham'. Foul, utterly foul. Disgusting.

They are made from the left over stuff that they don't sell, so it's gone past it's sell by date (they get around this by exploiting the legal loophole that you can sell food past its sell by date so long as it has been made into a sandwich). Or quite possibly the bread is reconstituted cardboard, which is good for the environment, but not very nutritious!
I am Soooooo bored with sandwiches anyway, I am having salads for lunch now that I make at home and bring in to work. This is the only way you can be sure that you will like what you're eating!

Because Tesco are only interested in their profits and they drive the suppliers cost down, so the suppliers have to use cheaper ingredients so that they can make some profit, to stay in business. The same is ture for all of Tesco's own label products. Asda are even worse.

because tesco is a supermarket GIANT, and they dont take care or put ony consideration when making their sandwiches becasue all there goods are MASS PRODUCED!
It would be better to rather buy all the ingredients yourself and make your own sandwiches, or better yet, go get sandwiches form somewhere like Waitrose or M&S

Ham, Cheese and Pickle from Tesco is ok but M&S and Pret a Manger are best for sandwiches.

I think any sandwich that you take from the chiller always tastes crap, absolutely tasteless, any sandwich is best at room temperature then you get the taste.

no pre-packed sandwiches taste great, they are always kept in a chiller cabinet so are too cold.
