According to psychology, primarily they are your physical needs, such as food, shelter, sleep, sex... etc. Only then come other mental needs.

Other than instinct for survival, fear is the primary motivation for animals to do anything.

food shelter clothing are the three basic needs. after this we need to consider other needs not connected with the basic survival of our physical body.
