I heard this along time ago and was recently brought to my attention again. My Question is.

Can a man become temporary sterilize his sperm by taking a really hot bath before intercourse?

A hot bat h is not an effective means of birth control. It may slow/stop production of sperm, but it will not remove all the little buggers.

Since sperm is killed at approximately 70 degrees ncentigrade, it would have to be a veryhot bath and it would require the water to actually to come in contact with the fluid itself. 70 degrees i painfully hot. Other methods of contraception are more effective...

No! A hot bath will temporarily slow down the production of sperm, but that's all.

No, however it does decrease your sperm count. We are trying to conceive and the doctor told my husband to avoid hot baths and hot tubs because it would decrease his sperm count and lessen our chances of making a baby.

I saw a study on this somewhere and they found that really hot temps and many many applications would render a man sterile for like 6 mos but I was thinking it was almost an unbearable temp.

No water does not kill sperm it won't proceed to exist long even though it does not kill it istantly, and no it does no longer kill it in time purchase that element it's going to already have began the fertilization technique.

most of the sperm will die from the heat not all of them will though, but i would not recommend it for birth control, that would be crazy
