I have a 7 month old kitty. I haven't gotten her fixed yet. This morning, she went to the window and started to meow weird. She never does that. Now hr tongue is out just a bit too. If she is, how long will it last? Will she bleed? Will it go away and come back again?

Yes she is in heat and yes she will bleed and I am not sure how long it will last ( maybe a couple weeks) but when she is done , Go get her fixed, and don't let her get outside or you will end up with Kitty's

My cat is 1 year old and she has had many heat cycles. She went into heat for a while there every 2weeks. that was annoying. They don't bleed and she will meow like that until she is mated with or if left indoors, until its over. Takes around 5-7 days to go.. She will put her bum in the air offering herself to basically anything, will roll around on the floor a lot and become more affectionate. Good luck with your kitty :)

Sounds like your cat is in season. Cats are very vocal (and annoying) at this time! A cat's cycle is much different than a dog's. Cats come into season about every month or so versus about every 6 months for a dog.

Be careful with open doors, windows etc because she may be more inclined to sneak out when she's in season. I would suggest you get her spayed as soon as this cycle is over even if she's an indoor cat.

Sounds like she is! I remember when my little cat first went into heat, she started yowling a lot, too, and rolling her back against the floor. If your kitty isn't spayed yet, the best thing is to keep her locked indoors, because it's going to last for over a week.

more than likely she is in heat..no she wont bleed it could last 10-14 days and yes it will happen again in about 4 weeks after her cycle of heat you can take her to the vet to be spayed before her next heat but if you take her during her cycle the vet will charge you a little more so if you want you can get it done now

Sounds about right. When my cat would go into heat before we got her fixed (which was only twice because we were going NUTS) it lasted about a week or two at a time. I realized it wasn't pleasant for her either, so we got her fixed ASAP. Just keep her indoors and make an appointment.

This is the "horny kitty" phase. It will pass, but it will come back. She will start to present to anything with testicles, she will "scream" all night, and she will make life miserable for awhile. Think of it as the cat version of PMS.

get her fixed right away before she starts to bleed becuase after that you have to wait until she is done and this can take quite a while

haha I know that meow. My sister had a cat that was VERY in heat and would even offer herself to my dad, myself, and my brother if we would talk and walk by her. Hornball anyway.
