No. As long as the material possessions for right use. Understanding right and wrong comes from understanding existence. Then the needs become balanced - and things are produced, procured, or exchanged for their rightful use.

enjoy material possessions... but dont let your possessions identify who you are.... what i mean is dont buy 50 shoes when you can do with 1 or 2 or 3 .... fulfil your Needs... things no human can live without... food water etc. if you have any material possesions that you dont use, give them to someone who might need it... dont hold on to possesions. they are yours today , tomorrow they will be of someone else.. so... yes you can have a good spiritual connectioin whilst enjoying a nice pair of shoes

It's about focus. Striving for material things requires a certain amount of your focus, thought and intent. This can become overwhelming to the point of taking over your entire life.

If you can control your needs and devote enough time to the spiritual aspect of your life then it is not a bad thing. Many can't.

Spirituality and love of material possessions go together. There's hardly anything more commercial than spirituality.

No. God placed us in the material world because he created it for us. He created everything in the material world for our use and enjoyment. The spirituality of a person suffers when material things are placed first in our lives over our love for God. Because of who God is he demands our obedience to his authority and he demands praise and worship---he has a right to make these demands because he is our creator and our sustainer. When we worship things instead of God we create idols----dumb idols. Idols can do nothing for us and everything against us. They take away our time with God. This is what the devil strives to do---keep us from God by convincing us that only things can serve our greater good. We are not to be served, but to serve----to serve God and not to serve the things of this world. The more time that you devote to possession, the less time you pay attention to your spiritual needs. Possessions do not survive this world---you cannot take them with you when you die. Therefore, the few possessions that you have on earth, the less maintenance time you spend on them, and the more time you have to devote to spiritual matters. God wants you to fellowship with him as often as possible, but you cannot do so if you are wrapped up in personal possessions all the time. You cannot serve this world and Gos at the same time.

Not as long, as you don`t put it before God, If you had a pair of good shoes, and some kids down the street from you were bare footed, It would have been nicer of you to have gotten them soes.

We can enjoy material possessions. It's when we leave God out and being the light we should be that's when we are putting the material possession first.

Yes, as long as you don't over do it. Even the apostles had some possessions! The bible was just saying that you don't need possesions. That idea was put their to just keep people from being materialistic.

I think you should enjoy having material possessions, as long as you're not obsessed with it. That would be considered idolatry. But you should feel blessed for having the things you have.

there is really nothing wrong in enjoying material possessions. in U.S. Culture and Society the accumulation is accepted. however, the point would be not to go overboard.
