I am so sorry to hear that. I am not a doctor but i think i can help you. First clean the wound area with clean water. Don't wrap the wound with bandage because the glass splinters might sill be inside . Apply some antiseptic but don't rub too hard on the wound cause it might push the splinters deeper. If its very serious then i suggest you call up the emergency helpline number. Contact your neighbour or some of your relatives who can help you and immediatly go to a hospital. Good luck.

Wounds caused by glass always bleed a lot.
That's actually a good thing, because germs get washed out of the wound.
Try and remove the glass, if you can get at it.
Lay her down with the foot up.
Put a band aid on, when the bleeding has subsided.

If there is any glass left in the wound, she'll have to se a doctor, but there will be time until your parents are back.

Wash the wound with warm water and soap first. Feel around the site and see if she feels anything still in there. If she does a trip to the doc or Urgent Care is in order. A soft tissue x-ray can show if there's a a piece of glass left in. If it feels ok put some topical antibiotics on it with a bandage. Then tell Mom and Dad what a WONDERFUL job you guys did with out them. A great boost for the ego. Good Luck

Depends on how deep it is. If it is a good sized piece of glass, emergancy room. If it's small and it's not so deep. THen get the glass out. Clean it with bactine (If you don't have bactine, cold water will do.) If it's a wide cut, put butterfly stitches on it to close it. If it's just a slit, put Neosporin on it and a band-aid for a day. (Make sure the glass is out). What Vani3624 says is great info too. If you are worried but don't think she needs an ambulance. Call your hospital and ask for a nurse. They can help.

Get tweezers if the glass is still embedded if you can pluck it out. If not try squeezing the glass out with two thumbs like a zit. Then clean and dress the wound. (Don't tie anything on the foot to stop bleeding.) Just keep it elevated and apply pressure if needed.

Remove the glass, clean the wound properly with warm water and dettol. Ensure that no glass pieces are remaining in the wound. If your sister is taking her vaccinations regularly ( from birth to 21 years) and if she is not a diabetic, nothing to worry, the wound will heal by itself.
Else better take a tetanus injection.
If the glass pieces still remain in the wound and if the wound is deep take medical help.

Best of luck.

1) remove any glass pieces that you can see on her feet
2) Clean the wound with warm water
3) Tie a cloth on the wound to stop the bleeding
4) ask her to lie down on the bed with the injured feet resting on a pillow..the idea is that the feet is above the rest of the body and so the bleeding would reduce
5) keep calling your parents and check if someone can help you to go to a doctor..

Doesn't sound like a life threatening emergency so just put something like a band aide or towels on it to stop the bleeding and wait until you can contact your parents or a neighbor

if she is bleeding profusely (there is a large cut and a large amount of blood) and you are unable to stop it by apply pressure-then call 911 to get her to the hospital...

if it's a small cut and it's not bleeding much:

-make sure all the glass has been removed from the cut
-wash it with warm water and soap
-apply neosporin to the cut (if you have it)
-cover the cut with gauze or a bandaid to help keep germs out

if you are unable to find any of the things i told you to put on it-just wash it out real good and wrap it up in a washcloth. keep trying to call your parents-they might be able to tell you where the first aid stuff is kept in your house to treat her with

Get the folllowing things if you have them,..

1. A kettle with boiling water (out of her reach!)...
2 A Flannel or small towel,. clean!
3. A pair of tweezers,...
4. A plaster (elast-o-plast etc)
5. A few clean tissues soaked in clean water
6. A kiss for the very last bit

Take the small towel,.. and carefully dunk in the boiling water,... wring out (you might be wise to wear washing-up gloves or even a few pairs, boiling water and skin don't mix too well)....
Then, take the tweezers, dip into boiling water, then wait a few seconds until they're cool (don't blow on them you're meant to keep them sterile),.. carefully expalin that the foot is going to hurt a little while you pull out the glass,.. pull it out in one, clean, swift movement,.. then immediately cover with a tissue and press firmly,.. wait until there's no more bleeding,.. if there is just keep it pressed on but try not to keep moving it too often to check,.. be patient.
When you're sure any bleeding has stopped,.. apply a plaster making sure the area is dry to the touch (so the plaster will stick properly),...
The last thing to do is give her a cuddle,.. and tell her she was very brave,.. kiss her gently on the forehead,.. she'll feel much better for that,.. :o) One safe, happy toddler. :o)
