If one considers thoughts to exist, which of course they do(well, in the majority of atheist minds, anyway) then that withstanding, it stands to reason(ooh, another atheist concept, reason) that Santa does indeed exist in the imagination of small children and adults who are incredibly gulliable!

"Big Red", as I like to call him, actually comes from a real person out of antiquity, (Norway too, if I remember rightly!) who used to give out presents to the children whose parent's couldn't afford gifts. Therefore, the reality of Santa Clause is by far, more believiable than the notion of a big, white bearded guy above, so full of love that he would inflict immeasurable suffering on us mere humans, regardless of what we believe, our age, or how "holy" we attempt to be. Killing indescriminately those of his own religion as well as everyone else. According to christians, he also empowers Satan to kill en-mass too(must be for when God wants a break)...

Bishop Nicholas lived in Turkey during the 4th century.
He did some good deeds.
The Roman Catholic church gave him sainthood at some point.
He's the origin of the Santa Claus legend.

The spirit of Santa exists in the hearts of those who love children enough to want to put his magic into their lives.

Love and blessings

i like your question but the reasoning is flawed. you can't aske someone to prove a negative claim. burden of proof is on the party asserting the positive belief.

to answer the question, yes santa is real, or was. he died of health problems tied to his morbid obesity last year.

I don't see why not. I think rumors of his abilities may be a bit exaggerated, but the same goes for any legendary figure, doesn't it?
