I have 512 Mb of RAM memory! I would like to upgrade it with another card of 512Mb (together it will be 1Gb - for games, everybody told me that I should do that) but I don't know will every memory card (DDR,DDR2, 533MHz) work on my computer? On SiSoftware Sandra says "Total memory: 512Mb DDR-SDRAM?" Help anyone?

i have 3 memory slots.
1. 256mb
2. 256mb
3. ""free""
What should i put in the third slot?
Should i buy 1Gb card, or 512Gb cause i do not have much of a choice! Please i am soo desperate!

you can probably match that type and speed exactly. If you happen to buy faster, it will just run at the slower speed but will work fine. Since I work at a DRAM plant, I guess it's my duty to tell you to toss the old out and buy 2 gigs of gaming ram from Crucial. Check into the "Ballistic" line.

Buying RAM can be confusing. The type of RAM you need is determined by the type of slots on your motherboard. If you own a name brand computer, you should be able to use any number of on-line memory configurator tools to tell you exactly what you have, the maximum you can have and what type. Most are even helpful enough to inform you is if should be using paired modules or not and of course suggest a module they manufacture or distribute. But once you know the exact type you can shop around.

If you can afford the 1Gb card I would go with that one. It would give you 1.5 Gb altogether, although 1Gb is probably more than enough. I am not sure about the DDR and all that, but I useDDR-SDRAM and it plays my World of Warcraft just fine. So I would go with that. Seems to be the most popular.

According to your CPU type, it could be DDR modules. You can easily buy a PC3200 compliant DDR module. And yes, buy 512MB 400Mhz PC3200 module.

It'll work fine. Your system will be 1Gigs of memory.
