Here in australia there are a few 'respectable' groups that practice this belief. I even went to some christians when I was a young christian so as to get delivered from any demons that may be in me. They rolled the tummy and prayed to God for my deliverance. Its quite weird. even as a christian I realized I should stay away from them. But at most times it is believed by the christians in the mainstream churches. Has any other christians heard of this practice or know of christians that do this.

I have never heard of this practice but I can tell you these groups have no biblical grounds to practice this.

The only time I have ever seen this sort of thing is in the Exorcist or other movies of that type. It seems to me that it is for dramatic purposes. I have never witnessed an exorcism, however, I am not Catholic and the United Methodist church doesn't perform them. In America I think most people see a psychiatrist for help with their personal demons. I think that demon possession is probably true, it was in the Bible, but I don't believe that what you experienced is anything more than religious fanatacisim. You are wise to stay away from this sort of "church".

that sounds weird! i've never heard of it and i have witnessed people having demons being cast out of them and they have not thrown up. Maybe its just in australia - in South Africa and even living in the Middle East i've never seen it!
But i would agree - stay away from them!
