I have to say I think its very sexist and I am female. There is a golf club in Ireland where only men are allowed to be members and every couple of months there is uproar from the female community here about not being allowed to join. However I don't think any of these complaining women object to getting cheaper car insurance because they are allegedly better drivers.

The amount you pay for insurance depends on several things.... One of them is your sex..... Males under 25 or 30 are typically charged more for insurance because they are the risk takers ( speeding, reckless driving, etc ) in comparison to girls. ( When was the last time you heard of a girl being charged with reckless driving? ) It's a good possibility that way of thinking by the insurance companies will change soon. When I'm driving, I've noticed that many drivers aren't paying full attention to driving .. because they are talking on a cell phone. Of those talking on phones...... I've noticed that the majority are women. I wonder how many of those rush hour fender-benders are because someone was on a cell phone? Other factors figure into how much you pay for insurance........ where you live, and the population density, and what type of car you drive....... (Girls generally aren't running around in a souped up Mustang or Camaro, or a nose-bleed tall 4X4.) The insurance companies base their premiums on numbers of accidents and the driver's profile... Once you reach 25-30 yrs old, many of the insurance companies reduce the premium because they figure that you've matured and have slowed down a bit and become more responsible. I agree that it is unfair to pick on the younger guys..... but until the numbers change, guys will be paying higher premiums.

Sexism or gender discrimination is prejudice or discrimination based on
a person's sex or gender. Sexist attitudes may stem from traditional
stereotypes of gender roles, and may include the belief that a person
of one sex is intrinsically superior to a person of the other.
Use a men only insurance and enjoy

It's an agency, not a company.
I'd be too offended to buy insurance from them, even though I'm a woman. Just like "tools for women" with pretty pink handles. Give me a break.
I'd rather do business with regular, well balanced people, not a buncha manhaters.

Insurance companies are allowed to 'descriminate' based on the assessed risk, so young drivers pay more, even if they have a better driving record than an older driver etc.

It is not only sexist toward the male sex but also the female sex. I am female and tried to get a quote for my car. I drive a Sierra XR4x4 2.9. They told me that I couldn;t get insurance from them because I drive a high performance vehicle. So not only do you have to be female but you have to drive a 1.3 Saxo for them to even consider you.

Once again someone is getting upset and irate despite a total lack of facts to support their assumption. If the gentleman would take the time to click on their website he would find that they are quite happy to insure him no matter what his levels of testosterone, facial hair or external reproductive equiptment.
Who would like to bet that he chooses a best answer that supports his misplaced outrage rather than anything based on fact?

I think because it is most likely a privately held company they can make restriction on who can join. For example, associations for the elderly; you cannot join them unless you are 55+ and they are allowed to discriminate based on gender.
