My dr is into the alternative medicine and he suggested Joint Lube. It is a liquid, so it gets in your system quicker than pills. The ingredients help manage pain and inflammation and promotes the integrity of joint and connective tissue - which leads to greater flexibility and movement. Within 2 weeks of using this, I couldn't believe how much better I felt. It works a lot better than any prescriptions I've taken for arthritis. You may want to give it a try!

The same treatment will not work the same way for different people. If Omega 3's and 6's work for you - then use them. If Glucosamine works then take it.. If you use H.A., then great.. Most often it is use of whatever works at the time and should be taken carefully with whatever other medications you may be on (talk to your doctor). At that rate, try acupuncture or at least acupressure, it doesnt hurt you to try all these things...
By the way, Prednisone doesnt kill you - the moron who wrote that is full of crap and just trying to scare people with a 'soap opera' answer... There are thousands and thousands of people who take prednisone every day for whatever indication they need it - for decades and longer... That person apparently needs anti-depressants / anti-psychotics for their psychological chemical imbalance...
The best place to get ANY medical information is to ask your doctor for what is right for you and what your body can tolerate depending on what you already take on a regular basis and what allergies you have....

Products such as Glucosamine Sulphate which helps to repair and rebuild the cartilage,Chondroitin will help to put fluid back into the joint. these product work better together. (The only caution with Glucosamine is do not take them if you have shellfish allergy). Devils Claw, omega 3 oils and Rose hips have also be proven to aid with pain relief and are both have anti-inflammatory properties.

500 mg Vitamin C tablets twice a day plus fish oil tablets (high Omega 3).
NB - heat destroys Vitamin C, so don't take them within 1/2 hour of a hot drink.

The only products that have worked for me are Natural Cellular Defense and DMSO. NCD is slower but longer lasting and DMSO is faster but wears off quicker. Neither are toxic. NCD can only be order via Waiora. DMSO can be order online from many places.

Well I had a friend who suffered from really bad arthritis, and he swore that pot was the only thing that helped him...But I guess you are looking for something legal.....Try Tiger Balm, that might help.

Glucosamine & Omega-3 oils have both been shown to help sufferers of osteoarthritis - the wear and tear kind. (Not sure about rheumatoid arthritis).
