Deus Vult.
It's time the West issued a fatwa on Islam. mohommedans could be given a choice - convert to common sense (ie. atheism) or die.
Hmmm, wonder how they'd like it!
Of course they didn't bother with the primary text of both xtians and Jews (and any rational person whether religious or not) " That which is hateful to you, do not do unto others".

Islam may appear a religion of peace but the actions of so many of the buggers gives us all a bad impression. As for Iraq, It's mostly muslims killing other muslims. Sunni killing shiite mulsims. Maybe we should bring sadaam back and then muslims can get on with being victims. When will the muslim world wake up and stop blaming everybody else for its own narrow mindedness and ignorance. i am tired of this ridiculous representation that islam is a religion of peace yet all around the ******* world they are killing innocent people. nevermind though we can always blame any muslim terrorism on a poor foreign policy by the US or the UK.

The problem for Islam is that people have recently committed terrible acts in its name - suicide bombing, jihad, etc.
You can argue all day whether or not the Koran justifies the interpretation these people have placed on it, but the PR damage is done.
The life of a terrorist or supporter of terrorism (Muslim, Christian or whatever) should be worth less. The life of any peaceful person should be held in the same high esteem, whatever their race or faith. The problem is that it is a natural feeling to value the life of those who share one's race or belief avbove the lives of others - if it wasn't, there would be no wars.
The Iraq war was based on a lie. Guantanamo breaches many of the values it is supposed to be helping defend. Mistakes have been made on both sides, and people have tried to turn the situation to their advantage in terms of power and influence, but ultimately the primary fault has to lie at the feet of those who started the current round of senseless killing - Bin Laden and his buddies.

Islam is not showing itself as a religion of peace. Muslim clerics are declaring Holy War on whole civilizations. The Koran teaches that infidels should be killed.
I have yet to see or hear one high level Muslim cleric stand up and speak out again the terrorism in the name of Allah.
Even some Muslim friends I have, make excuses for the murders and terrorists! While prefacing that with, I don't think it's good, but......they do this for this and that reason.
If the rest of the world, Christians, Buddhists, atheists and agnostics declared Holy War, or just plain total war on the problematic Muslims of the Middle East, there would be no Middle Eastern civilization (term used loosely) by the end of the day.
Islamic humanitarianism is definitely not their strong point.

Oh it saddens me that a muslim like you probably who resides in UK asserts the fallacy that Islam is a religion of peace. History. will attest to the fact that Mohammed believed in violence to propagate his religion. He refused to acknowledge Judaism and Christianity when clearly they were here before Islam. In his teachings, he encouraged muslims to fight against all the enemies of Islam, namely the Jews and Christians.
The angel, Gabriel came to him in a vision. He delivered the message from God that designated Mohammed (a Jew) as a messsenger of God according to the Quran or Koran. But he pushed his own ideologies and claimed them to be coming from Allah. He encouraged Muslim's conquests. To this day, Islam believes and practices terrorisms, killing a lot of innocent people in the process. What kind of religion is this which advocates killing and committing violence?
They view, all non-muslim believers as enemies. To them it's a constant war(Jihad) against the Jews and Christians as it was way back then. And with this kind of narrow mindedness and so much hatred, there will never be peace in the Middle East. The Iraq War is a classical example of the Muslims' inability to live in peace and harmony with his neighbors, the Jews.
For the life of me, I can not fathom the logic of the Sept.11,2001 tragedy. Those are clearly terrorists acts. They killed a lot of innocent lives . This is clearly an irrational and violent act. They kidnap a lot of innocent people. The men are tolerated to beat their wives. Many a parents murdered their own daughters if they refused to follow their strict customs or refused to marry somebody they don't love. Is this a religion of peace who advocates violence?
When there's a war, you're bound to have casualties on both sides. Consequently, Muslims are killed in their own countries as you attest. But have you taken into consideration, how many very young American soldiers were killed and are being killed in a war that don't belong to America.? How much bloodshed would it take to appease the Muslims. When they protested against the Pope's statements, they killed a lot of missionaries and burned a lot of churches. Is this a sensible act? I don't think so. This religion is supposed to be a religion of peace. How come it borders on violence and instill fear? Faith should not be blind and just based on passions. There has to some rhyme and reason for total acceptance.

You aren't seriously saying that the people dieing in Iraq his week are being killed by American troops, are you? Any killing done in most countries these days seem to be done BY muslims TO other muslims. Quite a peaceful bunch that! Sure a few are getting killed in Iraq and Afghanistan by non-muslim trroops, but they only fire in self defense. my niece was with the Canadian forces in Afghanistan for a while, as a translator and to help find aid for widows and orphans. For this some muslim men singled her out, put a death warrant on her, and shot at her.So, they sent her to Bosnia instead to work with Christian orphans. Kind of sad, since the Afghanis needed the help more and now they have to use corrupt afghani politicians to translate

You're trying to put words in people's mouths. That is called manipulative and controlling behaviour. No one said a Muslim's life is worth less than anyone else's. In fact it is you people that believe my life is worth less than yours. It was Bin laden who said the difference between Islam and the west is that the west embraces life and Islam embraces death.
The Muslims being killed in Iraq are being killed by Muslims and you know that. It's your Sunni brothers killing their Shiite brothers.
Don't blame the media.
The media never shows much of the good side of anything. They are no different with you. The media has a job to do and that is to sell news.
Right or wrong the war in Iraq could have been prevented by none other than Saddam Hussein. Why did he refuse the UN inspectors if he had nothing to hide?
You're making an assumption about terrorists in Gitmo being innocent. I don't believe it.
Read this about your beloved captives:
- Detainees lured guards into a cell in the prison’s Camp 4 by staging a suicide attempt in May, then attacked with fan blades and broken pieces of fluorescent light fixtures, the military says. Defense attorneys say the clash was sparked when guards tried to search prisoners’ Qurans.
- On June 10, three detainees in Camp 1 committed suicide. Navy Rear Adm. Harry Harris, commander of the jail, described it as a coordinated protest action - “not an act of desperation but an act of asymmetric warfare against us.”
- Guards recently discovered detainees in Camp 1 were dismantling faucets on sinks, removing long, sharp springs and reinforcing them into stabbing weapons, Army Lt. Col. Mike Nicolucci said. Camp 1 has been emptied of detainees while new faucets are installed, with inaccessible springs.
From July 2005 through August, the military recorded 432 assaults by detainees using “cocktails” of bodily excretions thrown at guards, 227 physical assaults and 99 instances of inciting or participating in disturbances or riots.
“What we have come to assess is these detainees - these terrorists - are still fighting a battle,” said Army Brig. Gen. Edward A. Leacock, deputy commander of the detention operation. “They’re not on the battlefield but … they’re still continuing to fight to this day.”

What planet have you been living on?
What is the good side to Islam?
Was the war in Iraq / Afghanistan not started due to terror, genocide etc... the reason no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq was because Saddam used them all on his own people.
Muslims in Britain should remember what they are - GUESTS
