Usually you don't see the fleas... check your cat's fur for little tiny black "flea poohs". Usually if they got mites they got fleas as well. The best product I ever used was Frontline, you can get it at your Vet. It's really good.

You can too see fleas. But anywho, earmites are not necessarily a sign your cat has fleas. I have one cat that is prone to problems from earmites once every two months, because he is a longhair. I went to Wal-Mart and looked in the kitty section and bought some earmite medicine. He gets treated at the first sign of a problem and it goes away before the last treatment. The Med from Wal-Mart takes longer to use, but it doesn't sting like the one the vet gives ya (it has alcohol in it)

My cat has also had ear mites. If your cat has a lot of ear wax in her ear, then its definetly ear mites. Because she has ear mites does not mean she has fleas. If your cat is an outdoor cat, then it is likely she may have fleas. My cat is an indoor cat and she still got ear mites though. To get rid of ear mites, gently rub the inside of the ear with a q-tip. A warm wet one is best. This will kill any ear mites that are right there in the ear, not farther down. If the wax does not get any better, take your cat to the vet and they will give you ear drops to put in the ears. GOOD LUCK!!! :)

actually, fleas can't be seen to the human's naked eye. But scientifically, if you are very doubtful about this issue, why don't you use Erina products. They are useful for both cats and dogs. its di-breed product which can get rid of fleas and other germs. Its available everywhere you go. But before using any product, its always better to consult a vet before you do anything. He knows better than anyone else. If he says your cat has fleas then carry on using this product. I've tried it for my pet and it is absolutely flea-free.

If your cat goes outside at all chances are it has fleas. Heck, my cats are all indoor & it just takes someone to come over who has an animal with fleas & bam - full infestation. I use Revolution on my cats each month because it tackles ear mites, fleas & worms - good stuff.

Ear mites have nothing to do with fleas. The mites stay in the ears and they can really be troublesom to the cats. Please take the cat to the vet to get some drops to put in the ears. My cats have had them. They go from cat to cat.

Did you know that ear mites is a sign of a healthy cat and healthy ears... I know they are disgusting but my vet said if they weren't present it can indicate a problem. !!!
