Yes it is a very good thing to do .. and you will show the grandfather what a fine young man you are .. she may be shy but she deserves to be treated well and like a lady

it feels good to be treated as so and know you'll be handsomely rewarded with emotions . . . things of these are hard to find nowadays...

It's not good for courtship. It makes girl's happy but it doesn't engender any respect for you. It shows a woman that you're eager to please her and nothing is more attractive to a woman that what she doesn't have. Get the door for your mother, let your girlfriend opperate her own door.

Depends on the girl, if she seems to like your gentle gesture, go on, but if the girl don't really like to be treated that way, please appreciate her, but most likely, girls are dying to have a date like you!!!
