The voltage in India is 220 volts/50 hertz and in the USA it is 110/60 Hertz. Unless the appliance is a dual voltage device, you will need an adaptor to convert the voltage/cycle. Several devices such as digital cameras have auto adaptors for 110-240 volts/ 50-60 Hertz. For such appliances, you just need a plug adaptor. It is a good idea to always check the instructions in the appliance manual.

No. India uses 220V and USA runs 110V. Unless the appliance supports both. Also India is using 50Hz where is the USA is on 60 Hz.

Some appliances do support both. Check the user manual before using!

Yes, however it depends on the power requirements of the device ie. the voltage input. Here in the US the household outlet is 110vac. If your device requires 220vac then you need to buy a step down transformer. For items such as cellphones, if you have at least a tri-band GSM or even better a Quad band GSM it will work here in the US.

our working voltage and freequency dosent match with usa ,
they have 60 hz frequency.
